The Canadian Theological Society was founded in 1955 to promote theological reflection and writing in a Canadian context. Today it is a lively community of theologians who represent a broad range of denominations and scholarly interests. Our membership serves the university, seminary, and the church and comes from all corners of Canada. We are members of the Canadian Corporation for the Study of Religion (CCSR). Through this membership we collaborate with friends and colleagues in religious studies, biblical studies, and patristics. You are welcome to hold membership in any number of these societies. As a member of CCSR the Canadian Theological Society sponsors Studies in Religion, a bilingual journal aimed at a wide range of religious studies and theological interests. We welcome into our membership all who are interested in supporting the life of theological scholarship in Canada. Whether you are still working on your dissertation, a junior scholar, or an established expert in your field, the Canadian Theological Society looks forward to your enriching participation in our work.
