This event features an interactive session, talk-show style, on equity and intersectionality as experienced by women in labour education and particularly, the Prairie School for Union Women. The opening Q&A will be followed by small table conversations where participants can “dig a little deeper” into the issues of LBGTQ communities and unions, Indigenous women and labour education, and labour leadership and transformative learning. Refreshments available.

Speakers: Barb Byers, Order of Canada, Member of UNWomen's Executive Director's Advisory Group and Past Secretary-Treasurer of Canadian Labour Congress; Larry Hubich, President, Saskatchewan Federation of Labour; Yvonne Hotzak, RN, Facilitator of Unionism on Turtle Island, Prairie School for Union Women; Cindy Hanson, Associate Professor, Adult Education, and President, Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women, University of Regina; Donna Smith, a member of the LBTQ community whose life was transformed by labour education
