Education Building - ED 113
Unfortunately, in the field of pre-modern literature, ecocriticism as an accepted vehicle for critical inquiry is relatively late to the game for scholars of medieval literature and is often not welcome. Ecocriticism is an upcoming field in literary studies in Spanish and other languages. Applications of the tenets of ecocriticism are important not only to contemporary literature but also to the literature of the past, which is especially important in Spanish. This presentation will focus on ecocriticism of Spanish medieval literature.
