The Conference Board of Canada, Research Impact Canada, and The Collaborative, a SSHRC-funded network dedicated to helping educators foster a better culture around Social Sciences and Humanities (HSS) knowledge and skills, have recently partnered on research, events, and a new collaborative platform for educators in K–12, through to post-secondary education. Students, graduates, researchers and educators in SSH disciplines benefit from applied skills training, cross-sectoral collaborations and knowledge sharing. Likewise, collaboration and knowledge-sharing skills help extend the reach, engagement and impact of SSH research and activities. This open session will draw upon recent Conference Board research, the expertise of the speakers, and the wisdom of the participants to identify best practices, resources, and next steps for strengthening connections, transitions, outcomes, and impacts for SSH stakeholders.

Chaired by the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Speakers: Sandra Lapointe, Associate Professor of Philosophy/President and Chair, McMaster University/The Collaborative Inc.; David Phipps, Executive Director, Research & Innovation Services/Network Director, York University/Research Impact Canada; Matthew McKean, Associate Director, Education, Conference Board of Canada

This event is being hosted by the Conference Board of Canada, Research Impact Canada, and The Collaborative Inc.
