Congress information services

Each year, a dedicated Information Centre and a number of Information Kiosks are established to assist attendees during their Congress experience.

Information Centre

The Information Centre is located within the Congress Hub, in the Centre for Kinesiology (CK), along with Registration and Expo.

Attendees can find information on:

The University of Regina Bookstore carries a wide variety of goods – from national best-sellers published by the University of Regina Press, to souvenirs and Rams and Cougars sportswear.

The University of Regina Bookstore store will be offering all Congress 2018 attendees who show their attendance badge a 20% discount on trade books, clothing and gifts at both the Bookstore and Expo locations.

Computer labs and print services

Attendees will have multiple options to access computer services during Congress 2018, all with the ability to perform printing services as well. Computers for attendee use will have Windows 7 Pro and Microsoft Office Pro software.

  • Riddell Centre – URSU Help Desk (2nd floor) – computers available 24 hours, 7 days a week
  • Dr. John Archer Library – computers available on the main, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors during the library’s hours of operations
  • Luther Library – computers available during the library’s hours of operations

Printing can be performed via the creation of a guest printing account in Papercut. You can purchase a prepaid card from the Library Help Desk in the Dr. John Archer Library and redeem the credit to your account. The cost of printing varies according to paper size and colour, ranging from $0.10 to $0.60. More information and assistance is available at the library’s IT Support desk.

Larger printing jobs and copying needs are managed by Printing Services, who offer a variety of print and document-related services such as bindery services, laminating, specialty printing, and document and page layout. Small print jobs can also be performed via a Papercut account.

Faith and spirituality services

Campus Chapels
Campion and Luther Colleges offer spiritual support and worship services in their chapels. Please refer to the chaplaincy websites for details.

Muslim Prayer Rooms
Riddell Centre - RC 285
Prayer rooms for both males and females are available to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors of University of Regina and are dedicated for five daily congregational prayers. A digital code is required to enter the prayer rooms, which can be provided at the nearest Information Kiosk.

The University of Regina houses an on-campus walk-in clinic that operates on weekdays. Assistance on weekends is available at health facilities in the surrounding area.

Luggage storage

Information Centre
Complimentary same-day only luggage storage is available to all attendees in the Information Centre, within the Congress Hub, during operational hours.

On-campus accommodations ONLY
For all attendees staying in on-campus accommodations, same-day luggage storage will be provided at the Kisik and Wakpa residences. Simply ask at the appropriate reception desk.

The University of Regina’s Recreation Services facilities are located in the Centre for Kinesiology Health and Sport (CK) building. Congress 2018 attendees are eligible to use these facilities for free with the display of your Congress badge. These facilities include:

  • Fitness and Lifestyle Centre (including cardio/weight room)
  • 2 swimming pools
  • 200 metre indoor running track
  • Change rooms

For access to the Fitness and Lifestyle Centre, please go directly to the check in location on the second floor of the Centre for Kinesiology. For access to the swimming pools, please stop by the Facilities Services desk (across from the change rooms) to receive a swim pass.

Water Refill Stations 
To help promote the use of reusable water bottles and bring awareness to the environmental damages done by bottled water, filtered water refill stations are located on the main floor of every campus building.
